Job Description: This is an experienced SalesTrading System Developer position responsible for enhancing and supporting the Order Management application systems to support the Asia Ex Japan Cash Equities business and product expansion.
The specific responsibilities are:
1. Face off business to solicit business requirements and recommend application functional and
technical enhancements
2. Design and code enhancements to the Asia Ex Equities Sales Order Management System for Cash Equities Single Stock and Market Access Product business
3. Design and development infrastructure or application programs to improve the order/execution throughput and resilience of the applications to meet ever growing business demands
4. Provide 3rd Level Support on the responsible applications which involve very early morning shift in rota schedule
5. Ensure consistent functional and technical design on the end to end order management and
execution flows, deliver clear and concise technical design documentation and program codes.
This is a critical role that will bring high impact to the Equities business. It will bring the candidate exposure to a critical order management system and exchange connectivity to the Asia-Ex region.
Essential / Mandatory Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
1. Experience in facing off with Equities Front-office business and support Front-office
SalesTrading / OMS suites
2. 5+ years of experiences in designing and developing C++ server applications on Unix/Linux
platform
3. 2+ years of experiences in designing and developing VB6 / VB.Net / C# front-end applications
4. Practical C++ and SQL performance and capacity tuning experience
5. UNIX scripting - ksh/csh

ASORD : Asia Smart order Router Developer
Job Description: This is an experienced Exchange Connectivity Developer position responsible for enhancing and building the Asia Exchange Connectivity platforms to support the Asia Cash Equities business and product expansion.
The specific responsibilities are:
Contribute to the effort of building and supporting the infrastructure for
Liquidity platforms. The Liquidity platform consist of the following components:
_ Common Access Point (An API that provides access to the infrastructure)
_ Smart Order Router: This component uses real time market data, quantitative strategies,
historical trading patterns and exchange characteristics to efficiently take and provide
liquidity to the market.
_ Crossing Engine: This component constantly monitors the order flow to identify orders
that can be matched internally and execute those orders to lower trading costs, improve
execution quality and reduce market impact.
_ Market Access: This component provides resilient, low latency, high throughput access to
the market.
_ The focus for the successful candidate(s) will be to deliver/support efficient, high speed,
low latency connectivity to market centers in Tokyo , India , Korea , Hong Kong and
Australia as well as to deliver/support crossing engine in Tokyo and smart order routing
in India .
In addition to the development of Smart Order Routing and Crossing application this role
will also be responsible for
1. Design and development infrastructure or application programs to improve the
order/execution throughput and resilience of the applications to meet ever growing
business demands
2. Provide 3rd Level "Rotational" support on the responsible applications which
involves limited morning and night support. Also participate in some week-end market
rehearsal (post application go-live)
3. Ensure consistent functional and technical design of the Asia Exchange Connectivity
component; deliver clear and concise technical design documentation and program codes.
4. Evaluate tools and approaches for FIX exchange simulators, FIX routers and load
balancers
This is a critical role that will bring high impact to the Equities business. It will bring the
candidate exposure to critical exchange connectivity development and provide
opportunity work on exiting areas such as Smart Order Routing and Crossing.
This is a demanding C++/Java Exchange Connectivity system development position,
candidates should have strong desire to learn and succeed.
Essential / Mandatory Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
1. 6+ years of object-oriented design and development experiences in C++/Java server
applications on Unix/Linux platform
2. Experience in developing high throughput, low latency exchange connectivity
infrastructure is highly desirable.
3. Candidates need to have a very good understanding of the micro-structure of the various
market centers as well as industry standard protocols such as FIX.
4. Prior experience in the Asian trading environment is essential.
5. UNIX/Linux shell scripting
6. Strong technical and programming skills is a key requirement. In-depth understanding of
Object Oriented Design and Programming is essential.
7. Knowledge of design patterns and methodologies is also required.
8. Exceptional experience in C++ and server side JAVA programming is essential.
9. In depth knowledge of performance tuning in Linux/Unix environment is necessary. Must
have good understanding of multi-threading, exceptions, templates etc.
10. Needs to have strong expertise in inter process communication and event driven
programming.
