Too Much Red Meat May Shorten Life Span

 

 

Diets high in red meat and in processed meat shorten life span not just from cancer and heart disease but from Alzheimer's, stomach ulcers and an array of other conditions as well, a new study has found.

Men and women eating the highest amount of red meat were found to have a 31 percent and 36 percent, respectively, higher risk of dying from any cause than those eating the least amount. Causes of death for those in the study included diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, ulcers, pneumonia, influenza, liver disease, HIV, tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and more.

Dying from cancer also was more likely among those eating the most red meat: 22 percent higher for men, 20 percent for women. The risk for death from cancer increased 12 percent for men and 11 percent for women who ate the greatest amount of processed meat. Similarly, the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease was higher by 27 percent for men and 50 percent for women; for processed red meat, the risk was 9 percent higher for men and 38 percent higher for women.

If we see someone using some weakness, we need to pay special attention not to think or speak about it. Instead we need to concentrate on some speciality of the other person. As we all are getting lazier day by day, this mail promotes laziness to the core! Generally we have problems in pressing Alt+Ctrl+Del or Windows+L to Lock our PCs, hence it would be better if we could do that by the click of a mouse. Here's how to do it:

 

1. Right click an empty spot on the desktop, point to New and click Shortcut.

2. In the Create Shortcut dialog box, copy the following into the 'Type the location' of the item text box:

" rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation" remove quotes while typing.

3. Click Next.

4. In "Type a name for this shortcut", type LOCK and Click Finish

5. Now just double click on the icon, your desktop will be locked.

A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?'

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.'

'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.

Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'
Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'
The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'


MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other

Pati uth kar darwaje tak jaata hai aur usey kholta hai. Dekhta hai ki ek sharaabi moosladhaar baarish mein khada hai.

Sharaabi bola, "Bhai sahab! Jara dhakka laga doge?"

"Dimaag kharaab ho gaya hai?" pati bhadka, "Raat ke 2 baj rahe hain!"

Pati darwaza jor se band karta hai aur wapis bistar par aa kar let jaata hai.

"Kaun tha?" patni ne poocha.

"Koi sharaabi tha. Dhakka lagane ko bol raha tha."

"Tumne kiya?" wo boli.

"Nahin! Raat ke 2 baj rahe hain aur baahar itni tez baarish ho rahi hai!"

"Lagta hai tum apna samay bhool gaye. Yaad karo jab teen mahine pahle hamari gaadi kharaab ho gayi thi aur un do aadmiyon ne hamari madad ki thi.
Mere khyal se tumhein uski madad karni chahiye."

"Tum sahi kah rahi ho. Mujhe sharm aani chahiye. Main abhi baahar jaa kar uski madad karta hoon."

Pati dhuandhar baarish mein ghar se bahar nikalta hai. Andhere mein wo us sharaabi ko dhoondta hai.

A city boy, Kenny, moved to the country and bought a Horse from an old farmer for $100.00. The farmer agreed to deliver the Horse the next day.
The next day the farmer drove up and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news, the Horse died last night."

Kenny replied: "Well then, just give me my money back."
The farmer said: "Can't do that. I went and spent it already."
Kenny said: "OK then, just unload the Horse."
The farmer asked: "What ya gonna do with him?"
Kenny: "I'm going to raffle him off." (Note: To raffle is to sell a thing by lottery - draw lot - to a group of people each paying the same amount for a ticket)
Farmer: "You can't raffle off a dead Horse!"
Kenny: "Sure I can. Watch me. I just won't tell anybody he's dead."
A month later the farmer met up with Kenny and asked, "What happened with that dead Horse?"
Kenny: "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a profit of $898.00."
Farmer: "Didn't anyone complain?"
Kenny: "Just the guy who won. So I gave him back his two dollars."
Kenny grew up and eventually became the chairman of ENRON.
