A. BI Solution Architect
Overall experience: 8-12 years in DW/BI projects (2-5 years experience as Solution Architect)
· Experience in multiple DW/BI implementations. Been a part of at least 2 complete DW/BI Project lifecycles - including strategy, requirements gathering, HLD, LLD etc.
· Should have participated in at least 1 High End BI DWH Consultancy assignment
· Experience in performing System Analysis covering both Technical and Business aspects of Enterprise systems like Operational, Data Integration, Data Warehouse and Reporting
· Extensive experience of gathering Requirements by interacting with Business Users, holding JAD sessions, conducting interviews and meetings, Documenting and presenting requirements to business and technical audience
· Must be able to understand the DW/BI requirement, create a dimensional data model and populate the same with the ETL tool of choice and create reports/dashboards
· Expert in architecting ETL solution using more than one ETL tools such as Informatica, Data Stage, SSIS, SAS ETL, Ab Initio
· Expert in architecting Cube/Reporting solution using more than one OLAP/Reporting tool such as SAP BW, Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, SAS BI, MS BI (SSRS/SSAS, Performance Point Server), Oracle BI/Hyperion etc.
· Should have good knowledge on any of the following Databases – MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata
· Experience in creating Performance Management dashboard/scorecard solution is a plus
· Experience in DW/ETL performance tuning, Unix shell and capacity planning is a plus
· Experience in implementing Customer Data Integration, Master Data Management, Metadata mgmt, Service Oriented Data Integration/Business Intelligence solution is a plus
· Extremely good Documentation and Presentation skills
B. Data Architect/Modeler
Overall experience: 8-12 years in DW/BI projects. (2-5 years as data architect/modeler).
· Experience in multiple DW/BI implementations. Been a part of at least 2 full life cycle DW/BI projects as Data Architect/Modeler
· Expert in DW methodologies and concepts
· The person should have done the following activities:
- Participate in Business requirements gathering and functional specifications design
- Developing Data Architecture Blueprints.
- Developing the conceptual, logical and physical data models for DW/BI solution implementation.
- Participate and contribute to E-R Modeling and Dimension modeling inline with design requirements
- Developing data dictionary for data model based on data elements extracted from source system and fields populated in the model
- Participate in and contribute to the development of traceability matrix for data elements from source files to reports
- Liaise between Back-End Data Feeds Team and business users to identify required data elements and incorporating them into the model & traceability matrix
- Must have experience in designing aggregate tables to optimize BI dashboard/scorecard performance
· Proficient in any Data modeling tool like Erwin, ER Studio, Oracle Designer
· Proficient in using Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Teradata Databases
· Extremely good Documentation and Presentation skills
C. ETL Architect
Overall experience 7-10 years in DW/ETL projects (3+ years experience as Technical Architect)
· Multiple DWH implementations
· Expert in architecting ETL solution using more than one ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Ab Initio, Oracle Warehouse Builder/Data Integrator, SQL Server Integration Services, SAS ETL, Business Objects Data Integrator, Teradata - Fastload/Multiload/FastExport
· Strong knowledge of DW concepts & SQL skills, SQL tuning and Unix shell scripting a must
· Experience in DW/ETL performance management and capacity planning is a plus
· Must be able to understand the DW requirement, create a basic dimensional data model and populate the same with the ETL tool of choice
· Extremely good Documentation and Presentation skills
D. BI/Report Architect
Overall experience 7-10 years in DW/BI projects (3+ years experience as Technical Architect)
· Multiple DW/BI implementations
· Expert in architecting Cube/Reporting solution using more than one OLAP/Reporting tool such as SAP BW, Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, SAS BI, MS BI (SSRS/SSAS, Performance Point Server), Oracle BI/Hyperion etc.
· Experience in DW/OLAP/Reporting performance management and capacity planning is a plus
· Strong knowledge of DW concepts, DW Data modeling & SQL skills, SQL tuning a must
· Extremely good Documentation and Presentation skills
